It has been a bit lonely and depressing of late. My family went away for the end of last week and normally I would have shouted for joy, danced through the rooms and happily wandered around at all hours of the night. But it has been rather lonely online as well; a friend I was hoping to spend a good portion of my time with has been mostly absent of late. I feel like I am nagging her by even asking her how she is doing and that she is always one step from making up some reason for going offline. We have hours of time when we're both at the computer but lately we've talked of nothing much. I am sure space is the thing to give her but I hate feeling like someone important to me is wandering away. I suppose the Taurus natural instinct is to hold tighter.

The ups of the art world have become lows lately as well. I won the tee shirt design contest to have it put down by one of the people who did not win. It did taint the cheerful feeling of surprised shock at being chosen for first place. I then worked very hard on a vector piece for a sci fi art trade only to have more than one person think the individual depicted was a boy and not a girl. =/ An abstract piece garnered one comment from someone telling me that it was awful. *sigh* It is hardly enough to make me even pause doing what I do but some days it does get you down, especially on top of everything else.

It has at least been better received so far. A fellow DAer asked me to do a collaboration with him so hopefully that will turn out well. It is somewhat daunting to work with a stranger. I don't want to disappoint him.

I got home from the Mage game.  Only butafli and I were there tonight so we worked on characters and were distracted by many things, including the pics that Butafli brought up on her laptop and refused to take down!  I think our characters are mostly set and I do hope the other two make something capable of kicking some ass because if things are left up to these two characters.....we're so screwed.
