A friend was writing a post and made a comic reference to the Sound of Music song "A few of my favorite things" One comment led to another and I decided to take the time I should be using for something productive and write Jan's version of the song. Jan is a musician character of mine who plays in the goth type band Nox Aeternus on Sanguine Affliction.

This is rough ( I just wrote it in a short time between working on things) Probably not amusing to anyone else either but I amused me.

Hickeys on necks and girls being bitten
Bright shiny strobe lights and fans freshly smitten.
Naked sexy boys all tied up in with strings
These are a few of my favorite things.

Cream coloured panties slipping out to be oogled (yes that's a word)
Passed out patrons upon which to doodle
Tight vinyl clothing and the way that it clings

Subs bent over tables to get a few lashes
Dancers moshing with spectacular clashes
Studded leather and slave collars with rings

When the job bites
When the mud slings
When I'm feeling bad (That's all the time ;) )
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I feel soooo glad.

Anything could happen really but I just finished a post to one poor soul who richly deserves the post he got. To explain, On the roleplay board Sanguine Affliction he replied to a thread that we were both in. He then sent me a message telling me not to forget to reply to him. I consider that a bit rude, but then he might be used to a different set of board ethics. Anyway, the other person in the thread replied leaving it once more 'my turn'. So heck with it, I replied. 5:30 in the morning and you get what you get.

Mai (My character) sent two of her people after a caterer who might know something of the bombing of the Mayor's mansion during an event. Being suave and sneaky, Mr West (the guy in previous portion) decides to use his command ability to tell her what he wants her to do. For those that play vampire the masquerade this is much like Dominate; it was an ability the staff said was a must have based on many cheesy vampire movies where the heroine is completely mesmerized into becoming a willing victim. Basically he says jump and she jumps.

Playing the victim of command to me requires some thought on how they rationalize the command in their own mind. In this case, he asked her to do something that was not alarming or completely against her better judgment. It was just very embarrassing. She likes him and in some ways it was probably something of a natural response to the charming British vampire asking her to tell him about herself.

This is a portion of what he wrote. The command he gave is written in red.

"Mr. Townsend should be along shortly, Miss Patterson. In the meantime let's get to know each other a little better. Why don't you tell me about yourself."

Alexander laid a reassuring hand on Jessica's left leg.
